Mishewah has had a long partnership with Renfrew County Family and Children's Services. In this day of economic struggles, they have less funding available to fully pay for a child to come to camp. In 2012 they are committed to 68 campers, but $214 is needed for each camper to finish paying their way. We also are working with our EMCC churches in the Ottawa Valley. We are forging a new relationship with the First Nations reserve at Golden Lake through Rob Dilts who is our EMCC missionary on site, The Salvation Army has an outreach in downtown Pembroke. There are young teens there that need to hear the gospel this summer.
What's the main thing? These children and young teens may not hear the gospel this summer if they don't get to camp again. For some of the 68 from Renfrew, it is their annual connection with Christian friends. For some of the others it will be their first time at a Christian Camp.
There is an urgency in getting the word out that we have to 'Pay Their Way'! Make a summer amazing for a child by giving to 'Pay Their Way' to camp. The poster below has a mailing address. Or you can go to the Canada Helps button just to the left off the home page. Your donation can be $10, $20, $50 or all of a camper fee.

Volunteers are a huge part of camp ministry. We need cabin leaders, cooks, skill leaders, youth pastors and children's ministry staff. Please contact us to find out how you can be involved.
