Food for your child's week at camp, for family camp or for your retreat group should be delicious and fun. Our kitchens serve a wide variety of fresh, homemade foods that have received commendations from our guests.
We very much try to accommodate diets that are: vegetarian, lactose-free and gluten-free. All retreat groups should notify the camp 4 days prior to the retreat of diet restrictions. Guests with restrictions are asked to introduce themselves to the camp director and the kitchen staff so we can work with you to create your meal plan.
We are not able to say we have a peanut-free environment. There are many variables that influence the campgrounds. We do not knowingly serve peanut products from the kitchens. Products that we purchase may list "may contain traces of peanut products" in their list of ingredients. Staff are requested to remove them. During family camps, tuck shop ice cream cannot claim to be nut free.
Campers and guests are requested to not bring peanut products to camp. The private residences of staff living on the site are not required to be peanut-free. Also, the private cottages and trailers of our seasonal residents are not required to be peanut free. Foodland in Stayner and The Superstore in Wasaga Beach sell a variety of gluten free, nut free products.
Campers, guests and staff who may have anaphylactic reactions are required to bring two epipens and carry them in a fanny pack at all times. Parents of campers with a known anaphylactic allergy must disclose this condition on the registration and medical forms and are encouraged to talk with the registrar, the camp director, medical staff, and cabin leader upon their arrival.
